Third big ConocoPhillips load set to leave Port of Lewiston

April 19, 2011
ConocoPhillips has tentative plans for its third megaload to leave the Port of Lewiston next week, according to the Idaho Transportation Department.

A crane stood next to a half drum for a Billings, Mont., refinery on Monday, possibly to help prepare the shipment across Idaho on U.S. Highway 12.

The oil company shipped two other drum halves this year on the same road for a project originally set to begin this spring.

Now, however, that schedule has shifted, according to ConocoPhillips. “Due to the legal challenges to our permits, the coke drums could not be delivered in time for our installation this year and will be installed next year.”
