2017 PORT GRADING PROJECT

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Separate sealed BIDS for 2017 Port Grading Project located at Colonel Wright Way, Lewiston, Idaho and other related work as set forth in the Contract documents for 2017 Port Grading Project will be received by Port of Lewiston at 1626 6th Avenue North, Lewiston, ID 83501 until 2 p.m. local time on Thursday, March 2nd, 2017 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The work involves, but is not limited to, grading 13 acres (70,000 CY Excavation), sewer line installation (457 LF) and water service and fire hydrant assembly installation. It is the intent of these documents to describe the work required to complete this project in sufficient detail to secure comparable bids. All parts or work not specifically mentioned which are necessary in order to provide a complete installation shall be included in the bid and shall conform to all Local, State and Federal requirements.

There are no Federal funds utilized in this project.

You may download the digital plan documents for a non-refundable $30.00 by inputting Quest project #4839764 on the website’s Project Search page. Printed PROJECT DOCUMENTS AND DRAWINGS may be obtained at Riedesel Engineering, Inc, 77 Southway, Suite C, Lewiston, ID 83501 (208) 743-3818. Printed copies of these documents may be purchased for a non-refundable fee of $50.00 for each set. A $15.00 shipping charge, non-refundable, will be assessed on all mailed documents. Plans will be available after Feb. 9th 2017.

A None Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 a.m., prevailing local time on Feb. 21st, 2017 at the Port of Lewiston office.

In determining the lowest responsive bid, the Owner will consider all acceptable bids on a basis consistent with the bid package. The Owner will also consider whether the bidder is a responsible bidder.

Before a contract will be awarded for work contemplated herein, the Owner will conduct such investigation as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the apparent low bidder to perform the size and type of work specified under this Contract. Upon request, the Bidder shall submit such information as deemed necessary by the Owner to evaluate the Bidder’s qualifications.

All bids must be signed and accompanied by evidence of authority to sign.

Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, cashiers check or cash in the amount of 5% of the amount of the bid proposal. Said bid security shall be forfeited to the Port of Lewiston as liquidated damages should the successful bidder fail to enter into contract in accordance with their proposal as specified in the Instructions to Bidders.

The Port of Lewiston reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids received, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interest of the Port of Lewiston.
