Warehousing
Warehousing plays a crucial role in a multi-modal transportation hub such as the Port of Lewiston. Our strategic location, near US Highway 12 and US Highway 95, along with rail access and our distinction as the eastern terminus of Marine Highway M-84, underscores the necessity of warehousing to effectively meet our customers' needs. To this end, the Port provides 200,000 square feet of warehousing space to support local industries and clients.
The Port partners with Inland 465 Warehousing and Distribution to oversee the majority of our warehousing. Inland 465 operates the Port’s 150,000-square-foot distribution facility, conveniently located on 3rd Avenue N near Lewis-Clark Terminal, the Port’s main dock, Swift Transportation’s hub, and rail access.
Facilities include 10 truck bays, 5 rail bays (served by Burlington Northern/Santa Fe and Union Pacific), and inside and outside storage for forest and paper products, manufactured goods, and agricultural products. Inside storage benefits from a controlled minimum temperature.
The Port also offers 50,000 square feet of dockside warehouse space, convenient for overflow and temporary storage.
