Lewis-Clark Terminal
Lewis-Clark Terminal (LCT) is jointly owned by CHS Primeland, Pacific Northwest Farmers Coop, and Uniontown Coop. It functions as a cooperative for approximately 3,000 grain growers who farm more than 17,000 square miles across the Palouse and Camas Prairie regions. These growers send their grain to more than 40 county elevators, which then transport it to terminals, including those at the Ports of Lewiston and Clarkston. From these terminals, the grain is marketed to export companies and supplied to international buyers.
LCT owns the grain facility within the Port of Lewiston, and boasts a combined storage capacity of 10.2 million bushels. The facility also has Tri-State Grain Inspection on site, which operates using Federal Grain Inspection Standards. LCT also has a rail load out facility that loads rail cars with commodities including peas, lentils, and soy beans. Barging plays a crucial role for LCT and farmers by providing dependable, economical, and environmentally friendly energy transportation.
