Fiber Optic Line Joint Agreement between Ports, KLEW, April 13, 2017
By Shannon Moudy
LEWISTON, ID — A big step forward for a dark fiber optic project that crosses state lines and bridges digital divides. Today Port of Lewiston commissioners approved a joint agreement with the Port of Clarkston, regarding the section of fiber optic line that would go across the Southway Bridge.
The agreement concerns state jurisdictions for the fiber optic cable. It’s a huge step in a project that began roughly a year ago.
Currently the port has four service providers using this network.
