Confluence Riverfront
In 2025, the Port of Lewiston broadened its economic scope by incorporating cruising into its services. The American Jazz of the American Cruise Lines fleet made its inaugural docking at the brand-new Confluence Riverfront dock in April of that year.
This collaboration with American Cruise Lines and the resulting flow of passengers into our community marks the Port of Lewiston's latest initiative to enhance our local economy. There are two phases of the project that, when complete, will realize a vision that showcases the beauty of the Snake and Clearwater rivers while capitalizing on what the region has to offer.
Phase 1, completed in 2025, included not only the cruise ship dock but also a paved access road, bus turnaround, parking, walkways, landscaping, and lighting. These enhancements have already transformed the area, paving the way for Phase 2. The upcoming phase will feature an RV park, a transient dock for recreational boaters, green spaces, and a renovated on-site building to serve both community and tourism needs.
To realize this vision, the Port is currently seeking a qualified Design Build Team to manage the project from conception to completion. (Click here for the Request for Qualifications.)
Throughout this project, the Port is dedicated to exploring the most effective ways to benefit our region and its residents . Our goal is to establish the Confluence Riverfront as a sought-after destination, a vibrant community hub, and a source of pride for the Lewis-Clark Valley.
