Joseph Anderson
President
Joe Anderson is serving as the District 2 representative (term 2025-2030). He is a retired fourth generation farmer who operated the family farm where they raised winter wheat, spring wheat and barley, pulse and oilseed crops. Joe also spent more than 20 years in leadership with the Idaho Wheat Commission before retiring this fall. He represents the Port on the Urban Renewal Agency Board of Directors.
Denise Metz
Secretary/Treasurer
Denise Metz is serving as the Port District 3 representative (term 2021-2026). She was appointed in February 2026 to succeed Commissioner Jerry Klemm, who retired. Currently, she holds the position of Manager of Safety & Security at Idaho Forest Group, where she has spent the majority of her 32-year career in the manufacturing and lumber industries. Denise, who has called the LC Valley home since she was 11 years old, is married to Barney Metz. Together they have two grown children and three granddaughters.
Michelle Bly
The Port of Lewiston Commission appointed Michelle Bly to fill the remaining term of former Commissioner Mike Thomason, who retired at the end of July. The term ends December 31, 2028.

The Port of Lewiston is governed by three Commissioners elected for six-year terms. Elections are staggered to run every two years between the three districts. A primary election is required should there be more than two qualified candidates.
District #1 Term: 2023-2028 (general election, Nov. 2022)
District #2 Term: 2025-2030 (general election, Nov. 2024)
District #3 Term: 2021-2026 (general election, Nov. 2020)
