Governor’s Proclamation Request Sponsored by NW Intermountain Dream It. Do It.

Clearwater Economic Development Association, Oct. 3, 2015, LEWISTON, ID –

The Northwest Intermountain Dream It. Do It. partners are pleased to announce pursuant to their request that, on October 1, 2015 Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter issued a State of Idaho Gubernatorial Proclamation officially declaring October 2015 as Manufacturing Month in Idaho.  In doing this, Governor Otter helps raise awareness throughout the state of Idaho of the significance of Idaho’s manufacturers’ contribution to the State’s economic growth.

Northwest Intermountain Dream It. Do It. is a consortium of manufacturers, educators, economic development organizations, private citizens and others, implementing a public outreach campaign designed to change the perception of the manufacturing industry and to inspire next-generation workers to pursue manufacturing careers.  Northwest Intermountain Dream It. Do It. sponsors are Clearwater Economic Development Association (CEDA), Idaho-Lewis County Technical Education Foundation, Lewis-Clark State College, Northwest Intermountain Manufacturers Association, Southeast Washington Economic Development Association (SEWEDA), and Valley Vision.

Dream It. Do It. is a national campaign, created by the Manufacturing Institute in 2005, to develop manufacturing careers recruitment pipelines that inform students and others about valuable employment opportunities in manufacturing.
